WE MAKE PLANS, GOD LAUGHS!!!!!!

I am hoping for your sake that you have already cultivated true friend(s) that are non judgemental, and just accept you were you are in this battle. It sure doesn't take long to separate the accepting ones from the judgemental ones.

I learned that I could sort of delineate from how I felt in the "pit of my stomach!" If I kept getting that awkward, uneasy feeling when I was around that person, then they were probably not healthy for me.

And of course, I totally understand how confusing it can be for people to try to get a handle on what a person is dealing with that looks fine, and may sound fine!!!! Of course, we all know that "the sounding fine" can only last a given amount of time! It just drives me batty!!!

God has such a sense of humor!!!!!!!

When I was back in school studying to be a counselor, I completed a 2 year internship at the Battered Women's Shelter. Women would share that they were suffering from fibromyalgia due to domestic violence, abuse. I heard this frequently, and I would think what in the world are they talking about?!!! Is it in their head?

They would point out places on their body that ached, and I just could not picture what they were talking about!

I sympathized totally with all of the dynamics of the Power and Control Wheel, and how women suffer horribly from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The Hearts and Flowers Cycle is so disgusting, but so sadly understandable. The emotional abuse can be much more damaging than the physical abuse. And of course we know about the irreparable damage that the violence can have on children.

But the irony of my point if that I just could never make the connection between the "invisible illness" and all the trauma that the victims were enduring.

Doesn't God truly have a sense of humor?!!!!!!! And I sure went thru a stage of anger at him, off and on!

Have you? It's so hard not to!

But now I truly am able to smile at the irony!

BY THE WAY, I HEARD ON THE NEWS JUST THE OTHER DAY THAT DUE TO COVID, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE RATES MAY HAVE DOUBLED SINCE IT BEGAN. A YOUNG MOTHER HAD JUST PASSED A NOTE TO HER PHARMACIST ABOUT HER SITUATION. WE ALL NEED TO BE AWARE.
