We lost one of our dear, furry animal babies last week. My husband said that he believes it can get more difficult as we get older to lose our precious pets because we are "empty nesters", and out pets are our children. I had not thought about it like that, but I definitely believe he is right.

There is nothing like the unconditional love that one receives from their pets. This little dog brought so much joy into our lives. He loved walks, waking you up in the morning, cuddling, carrots!!!

When one suffers from chronic pain, depression, etc., the support that one feels from an animal is immeasurable.

He was not the brightest bulb on the tree, which is another reason that made him more endearing! He was jealous of the attention that our other dog, Max, received. But Max was always so patient with him. Max would take his time grabbing his treat off of the floor; meanwhile, that little culprit would have gobbled it down!!! But it was just so darn hard to stay mad at him!

We will miss you so much little Elliot! You brought so much joy into our lives.

Thank you.
