If you are struggling with stress or depression, or you just feel like a broken gingerbread cookie, the holiday blues are real. The NAMI, National Alliance on Mental Illness, found that the holidays definitely contributed to feelings of sadness and anxiety. 68% reported feeling financially strained, 63% said there was too much pressure, 57% said that they had unrealistic expectations. 24% of people with a diagnosed mentall illness find that the holidays result in their condition "a lot" worse.

We are learning to simplify our holidays by asking for help, simplifying meals, buying pre-made food and realizing that spending time with loved ones is what really counts!
